Period is a folder, not a global filter
Opening a close month does not change Bank Feed, Review, or Reports. Only pages inside that folder are that month.

The habit
A closing-month folder shows that month. Leaving the folder returns you to unscoped pages. If you need a report for August, ask the report for August — do not expect the rest of the product to stay pinned to August.
